BECOME A DRIVING INSTRUCTOR IN THE UK

Introduction

Thank you for your enquiry to become an Approved Driving Instructor with our FREE training scheme, which is subject to Terms and Conditions. Full details are given on our FREE Seminars.

The main point, on the Terms and Conditions, is that the training is free of charge provided you work on a Self-Employed basis with your own car -(but not a new car, up to  years old is acceptable at our Driving School for a minimum period.

Basic Law

Applicants must have:

  1. A Full UK Driving Licence, for a minimum period of 3 years
  2. No more than 5 points on The Said Licence
  3. Not been disqualified from driving in the last 6 years
  4. No physical disabilities, (unless you can control the car from the Passenger’s seat)
  5. Must pass a Criminal Records Check

 

The Free Training

Parts 1, 2 & 3 there is a small charge of £85, to pay for your DVD’s, books and course material for Parts 1, 2 & 3. This payment is due at the start of training.

 

Part 1: Theory & Hazard Perception

Part One is multiple choice questions, the question pack being supplied on DVD. Plus hazard perception, once again clips supplied on DVD for your training. Help and advice is given on this Part One training from your Trainer. Exam cost of is payable by yourself.

This payment is not due until you apply for Part One.

Part 2: The Driving Test

The test can be taken in an automatic or manual car. Free in-car training to get rid of all your bad habits, the number of hours given in unlimited to bring you up to Part 2 Test Standard. The Driving Test incudes eye sight test, “Show Me, Tell Me” questions, general driving, independent driving (or SatNav) and manoeuvres. Exam cost of is payable by yourself. Thus payment is not due until you apply for Part Two.

Part 3: Instructor’s Ability Test (New)

The Part 3 Instructor’s Ability Test has now changed from December 2017 to the following.

You are invited to take a pupil to the Test Centre, and give a one hour lesson. The examiner sits in the back seat. Full training is given to you on all subjects that you will have to teach a pupil.

You can choose the following: The Pupil, The Route, The Subject, The Level of tuition (i.e a beginner or ready for test standard) Full information is given at our Seminar. Exam cost is payable by yourself. This payment is not due until you apply for Part Three.

Working Self-Employed with Systematic UK School of Motoring

You will earn when qualified, £23 per Single Lesson, but £19.75 as a Trainee. The School is recruiting Trainees in each town and city in the North and Midlands in the UK. We guarantee, in writing, to supply you with pupils in your town.

For your earnings as a Self-Employed person, you multiply the number of single lessons by the price i.e.

30 Single Lessons at £23 = £690 Per Week Gross

35 Single Lessons at £23 = £805 Per Week Gross

40 Single Lessons at £23 = £920 Per Week Gross

45 Single Lessons at £23 = £1,035 Per Week Gross

Plus Course Lessons

New Career

If you enjoy driving and meeting people, then this could be the new career for you. Systematic instructors can and have earned £37k per year. Your franchise payment is a lower fee in the first 20 weeks of the start-up deal. 40 pupils are guaranteed by the end of the start up period. The agreement includes 3 weeks holidays per year.

Location for Training

All training for Parts 2 & 3 takes place at our Head Office in Cleethorpes. Part 1 is home study. Travel and accommodation is at your own expense (if applicable).

The next stage is to attend our FREE and friendly informative seminars held on Saturday afternoons on set dates in the month.

What happens at the Seminar:

First we inform you of your training requirements, duration it takes to pass the tests and what we offer you as a FREE training package.

Second the school informs about your new career as a driving instructor, the hours, holidays, working conditions earning.

Third as a driving instructor you will need a car, not at the start of your training, but when you are ready to start work – the talk will include what car you will need, the dual controls and the motor insurance for the learner driving.

Fourth after you have received all the information and all your questions have been answered, you are free to go home and talk everything over with your partner and then decide if the career is the right one for you.
